What is intresting about this project is that it is being designed to work as a PHP library, as such people will be able to use the same base code for a Drupal module as a Joomla module etc with only small modifications to the code.
We are nearing completion on our first map and need the help of any texture artists out there. All of our buildings are built in pieces, this means that we can update one piece and all the other uses of that piece are also updated.
The texturing is comming along, will be fairly quick considering the way we are doing the Blender Library Linking, currently we have about half the pieces uv mapped and are putting together the textures.
If you have any comments on how the map is comming along feel free to add them below.
Modeling on the lovelace city is nearing completion, all the buildings are in a "release ready" stage with only textures needing to be worked on. You can see the progress on the city below.

Nandar did a screen capture of him building one of the new buildings in the Lovelace map from prefabricated pieces, as you can see it helps save time in creating the model due to the reuse of materials.
