Robot Components
« on: December 29, 2010, 07:48:50 PM »
This is to prime the pump for robot components. I've broken the robots into the following parts: chassis, power plant, propulsion, sensors, arm, and hand.

The modeling concept is to have parts fit all chassis. If that feels to omodular for what is essential hand-crafted technology then perhaps "adapter" meshes can be provided or alternate styles for the same functionality.

It is not enough that these be cool, they have to be gameable (I've invented a new word). Consider:

  • How will these work with story (settings)?
  • Can writers do interesting things with them?
  • How will these work with rules?
  • Will they provide useful variation in game play?
  • Is the technology within the bounds of physics that we are ok with (ie: not hard science but reasonable science)?
