Android App for AMS

Ryzom AMS is an account management application that is being developed by Quitta as a GSOC project.

 

Botanic wrote a basic android app to wrap his work into a working smartphone application, take a look at the screenshow below.

 

There is still some formatting work that will need to be done however this is great progress.

GSOC 2013!!!

For the 3rd year in a row the engine we use got into GSOC. One of the students Daan Janssens is being mentored by one of our project members Botanic.

 

The Project Daan is working on is Account Management Web Application With Ticketing System And Its Integegration into Ryzom App.

 

What is intresting about this project is that it is being designed to work as a PHP library, as such people will be able to use the same base code for a Drupal module as a Joomla module etc with only small modifications to the code.

Current in-game status

We are nearing completion on our first map and need the help of any texture artists out there. All of our buildings are built in pieces, this means that we can update one piece and all the other uses of that piece are also updated.

PerfHUD Profiling

Just completed some work that now allows us to profile ryzom with NVIDIA PerfHUD. Here is a screenshot of it in action.

 

This will allow us to profile what is causing the game to run slowly and allow us to optimise the engine.

Police Bank Building Update

Just to post a quick update of the progress on the Lovelace map, out newest artist infrared_ has been working diligently on the Police Bank building, while still a work in progress it is one of the largest buildings in teh city and is brining us closer to a complete map.

It Is Here! New Website Announcement

We are proud to announce the release of our newly redesigned website. By updating tempestintheaether.org we’ve been able to improve navigation, as well as set up better flow and design across the site.

 

A few of the features of the new site are:

 

Login intigration with the game (Yay!)

Proper forums login intigration with consistant look and feel (Finally...)

Better navigation

As well as the ability to make vast improvmnets that are planned for the near future

Blender 2.6 Library Linking Modeling Screencapture Tutorial by Nander

Nandar did a screen capture of him building one of the new buildings in the Lovelace map from prefabricated pieces, as you can see it helps save time in creating the model due to the reuse of materials.
